Tyler Ott - Founder & CEO

With extensive experience in electric utility operations and commercial-industrial (C&I) electrical infrastructure and renewable technologies, Tyler founded Mid Valley Power (MVP) in 2019 with a goal of creating a world class company and team that specializes in renewable based microgrids in the C&I sector and strategic large scale developments in the utility sector that will play a critical role on the “Path to 100”. Tyler has advised some of the largest corporate, agricultural, industrial, utility, and municipal clients in California on energy markets and renewable developments and positioned MVP as a high growth company on track to deploying and managing over $100 million in assets by 2024.

Tyler has a bachelor degree from California State University, Stanislaus in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Global Energy Management (GEM) from the University of Colorado, Denver. In addition, Tyler is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) accredited by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).

Romain Schonhoff - Project Manager

Romain is a results-oriented and client-focused systems thinker with unstoppable initiative. With a proven track record of driving complex projects to success, he understands the unique challenges and landscape affecting commercial and industrial solar-power projects. Put simply -- he knows how to get things done.

He has worked in the agriculture, semiconductor, manufacturing, and automation industries wearing many hats to ensure projects are completed at the highest satisfaction of all parties involved. At MVP, Romain is responsible for project management and operational processes through coordination of planning, reporting, workflow development and operations.

Romain has a bachelor’s degree from UC Merced in Mechanical Engineering.

Renee Ott - Director of Corporate Services

Renee has over 20 years of legal experience, including corporate paralegal and contract experience in the utility sector. Prior to her role at MVP, Renee worked on in-house legal teams and liaised with business teams as a Corporate Paralegal and Contracts Supervisor at a large cooperative generation and transmission utility in the Midwest, a Corporate Paralegal for an international professional employer organization and Contract Manager at a multi-billion dollar California electrical engineering and construction company. Renee has been deeply involved in the development of corporate legal, contract and compliance teams and has led the integration of robust contract management systems. Over her career, she has been involved with the regulatory, contract and transactional management of more than $500 million in electric infrastructure projects including new transmission line builds and power plant developments.

Renee has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Information Systems, a minor in justice studies, and a paralegal certificate from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas.
